I've only just started going to concerts over the last year but I've never got a photo at any. I tried with my mobile - but obviously it's terrible quality and just makes the band look like several orbs.
To start with I couldn't find any cameras suitable but now there seems to be too many. I am not bothered about it not being the LATEST model, in fact seeing as my budget is around £180 - 200 perhaps it's best not.
I'm looking for one with fairly easy settings so I can just stand in the crowd and snap occasionally when things get interesting / when I'm flagging in the mosh pit. haha.
Thanks in advance, basic criteria is:
Relatively small (no big lenses please, either pocket size or would fit in a small bag.
Good quality at concerts - can handle movement and lights. (when I say good quality I mean limited blur and grain kept to the minimum).
I'm also not one of those who's always going to be able to be right at the front so to handle shots from the crowd is pretty essential. (Not bothered about zoom though, I like the photo to show what I actually could see)
